The iPhone 12 is launching later than usual this year, which means more time for leaks and rumors - such as leaks like the unofficial hands-on video of the iPhone 12 Pro's back cover, for example, which just appeared online.
Posted by EverythingApplePro on Twitter, the clip is noted further to show the new LiDAR scanner that will add to the phone's augmented reality capabilities (the same LiDAR scanner already present in the iPad Pro).
You can also see the slightly flat design of this year's iPhones: Another thing the phones are said to borrow from Apple's premium tablets, is in a return to the look of the iPhone 4.

Stainless steel and matte glass are also in evidence, and given how compatible this is with past rumors, as well as the reputation of the leak, we can say there's a good chance that this is indeed an iPhone 12 part.
We expect Apple to unveil four new iPhones this year: in ascending order of prices, the 5.4-inch iPhone 12, the 6.1-inch iPhone Max, the 6.1-inch iPhone 12 Pro, and the 6.7-inch iPhone Pro. Max.
The big unknown is when the cover is officially broken. In a normal year, new iPhones would have been launched in the first week of September, but for obvious reasons the 2020 batch has been delayed - it might not be shown until October.
Apple held an event for next week, Tuesday, September 15, but there appears to be general consensus to announce a new Apple Watch and iPad Air. If iPhones are mentioned, they likely won't be selling for a while yet.
It is strongly rumored that the iPhone 12 comes with 5G on board, or at least the 5G option, in addition to the usual improvements year-on-year in terms of performance and image capture capabilities. Once it's official, we'll let you know.
